The concept for Movie-Aid is a global charity-fundraising-event centred on the cinema industry for one day. It will be married to the release of an associated commercial full-length feature film highlighting the themes and issues of the chosen global appeal.

On the day of its premiere – or Movie-Aid Day – all box-office revenue for the Movie-Aid film will go to the appeals, together with additional live theatre box-office donations. Additionally, the Movie-Aid film producer’s final net profit will also go to the global appeal.

Estimated to be able to raise in excess of $400 million, this short book describes the Movie-Aid concept in detail and its background.
